REQUIREMENTS

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the related field (Accounts/Finance etc.) with hands‑on responsibility for financial reporting.
• Demonstrated practical experience in IFRS 17 implementation and ongoing application.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, actuarial concepts, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in full compliance with IFRS 17 and other applicable IFRS standards.
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous refinement of IFRS 17 accounting policies, methodologies, and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with all insurance regulatory reporting requirements and statutory filings.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors on IFRS 17 and insurance‑specific accounting matters.
• Ensure compliance with all insurance regulatory reporting requirements and statutory filings.
• Oversee general ledger, sub‑ledgers, reconciliations, and closing processes related to insurance accounting.
• Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting, particularly over IFRS 17 model inputs and outputs.
• Support the CFO and Senior Financial Analyst by providing IFRS 17‑compliant historical financial data and variance analysis for budgeting and forecasting.
